COVID-19 Changed Everything
Just as we predicted — and many of us are already experiencing — there is increased buyer demand, which is making our summer market look just like spring market.
Buyers needs have changed this season too. There’s a growing need for dedicated home offices, workout rooms, even soundproof studios for video conferences. So, we are pricing properties and developing selling propositions based on a shifting set of values.
Communication is key on this front. We’ve put sellers on notice that frequent pro-level cleaning is required after every single visit by anyone. Efforts are in place to deter the virus’ spread, so the typical “welcome” vignette no longer contains a flyer stand, a business card tray and an orchid in the entry hall or on the kitchen table. Instead, you’ll now find hand sanitizer, wipes, disposable gloves, single-use masks, booties and a laminated chart illustrating how to use them.

Technology allows us to offer virtual tours and open houses for every home we list for sale, so prospective buyers can tour your house from the comfort of their own home! These digital home tour options may include live or recorded video tours that we’ll capture while maintaining social distancing best practices.
